The army warned the rebels (now known as the "New Forces") that they would take action unless the rebels quickly returned to their peace and disarmament program. The army's front-line commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Philippe Mangou, said that rebels should reestablish contacts with the army, return to a committee meant to oversee disarmament and stop all hostile actions. - Adam Geibel
