American investigators (who examine the aftermath of each bomb attack on U.S. forces) believe that over a dozen IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) use a design identical to one developed by the Iranian supported Hezbollah terrorists of southern Lebanon (for use against the Israelis). The ones encountered in Iraq are believed to be from Iran, smuggled across the border and delivered to Iraqi terrorists. Even though these terrorists hate Shia Moslems, and have killed many Iraqi Shias, the Iranian Islamic radicals (who are, of course, Shias) are so obsessed with their hatred of the United States, and the West in general, that they will deal with their worst local enemies to kill Americans. It's this attitude that makes an Iran armed with nuclear weapons such a scary prospect. European nations have offered to supply Iran with cheap nuclear fuel if Iran promises to stop developing nuclear weapons. The problem is that Iran has lied about its nuclear weapons program in the past, and shows no sign of being any more honest in the future.
