For the first time in 11 days of student demonstrations against Islamic conservatives, young supporters of the conservatives fought with students. The conservative youths got violent when the Islamic leaders were criticized. The students also shouted things like, "death to the Taliban."
Senior religious leaders have ordered that the death sentence for Hashem Aghajari be "reviewed" (cancelled). Apparently there is fear that the increasing demonstrations against Islamic conservatives is getting out of hand.
