Abu Bakar Bashir, the jailed spiritual leader of al Qaeda affiliate Jemaah Islamiyah, has been charged with involvement in yet another terrorist attack, this one in 2003, against a hotel. The government has been under a lot of pressure from Islamic conservatives to release Bashir.
