In Aceh, rebels and government officials called for less violence, each accusing the other of being the cause of it. So far this year, some 400 have died in battles between rebels and police. Over 10,000 have died in 26 years of on and off separatist violence in Aceh. Today at least six died, although there were conflicting claims.
