Serbia and Kosovo are considering a series of formal talks to discuss their future political relationship. The talks will take place in July. After the Serbian government made the announcement, ethnic Albanians living in south Serbia demanded that they also have a delegation at the meeting. Many ethnic Albanian Serbs in south Serbia favor joining Kosovo. Both Serb and UN sources emphasize that Kosovar independence will not be discussed at the talks.
