Canada formed a Joint Operations Group on 1 June to control overseas expeditions. It includes Army, Navy, and Air Force personnel. They had previously planned to use the headquarters of the 1st Canadian Division has the expeditionary headquarters, but finally decided that this formation was "too Army-centric" and could not cope with larger operational concepts. --Stephen V Cole
