Pakistan tested its Shaheen-I theater ballistic missile on 4 October, and again on 8 October, increasing tension in the region. Russian experts say Shaheen is a copy of a missile used by China. The Shaheen-I has a range of 700 kilometers (435 miles) and is capable of carrying a nuclear weapon.--Stephen V Cole
