Uganda: November 8, 2002

Uganda admits is has sent two new infantry battalions into the DRCs Ituri region. One battalion of 750 men deployed in the town of Mutwanga on November 7. At first, it appeared that the unit in Bunia was a reinforced battalion task force, beefed with communications, engineers, and medical troops, and that looks to be the case.
