Nearly a thousand armed Liberians have been either chased out of Ivory Coast, or arrested (140 are being "detained.") The UN has also renewed the arms embargo on Liberia for another year. Within Liberia, chaos reigns, with armed men preying on civilians and occasionally fighting with each other. LURD (mostly) and MODEL rebels technically control about two-thirds of the country, but many of the government and rebels groups are beyond anyones control.
