One thing that appears to be causing fighting to die down is the movement of hundreds, if not thousands, of rebels and soldiers into Ivory Coast to loot and pillage while the country is distracted by the current civil war there. The Liberians are easy to identify, as many speak English in a country where French is the preferred second language.
