Ivory Coast's parliament approved a general amnesty for "all offenses against the security of the state" (which includes political unrest and rebel activities) between 2000 and 2002. Not everyone is so forgiving. Dissenters accused the parliament members who support the bill of being "assailants and assassins", claiming the people who committed crimes ought to be brought to justice. - Adam Geibel
