The government will spend a quarter of a billion dollars on new air force war planes, to replace the current force of elderly American A-37 and OV-10 aircraft. The air force favors buying up to 24 proven  Super Tucano ground attack planes from Brazil, which would help cement diplomatic relations between the two nations.
