While US investigators are convinced that the pilot of Egypt Air 990 deliberately crashed the plane in 1999 over concerns he would be grounded for sexually harassing female co-workers, intelligence officials have noted that seven Egyptian generals and two dozen other Egyptian military officers were on board.
