The UN has extended the peacekeeping mission six months, to September 30th. There are 16,600 peacekeepers in the country, disarming the rebels and pro-government militias. This will enable the UN to proceed with war crimes trials. At the same time, there is also a scandal with accusations that African employees of air agencies have been getting sex from female refugees in return for food and other aid.
