Thousands of civilians are fleeing central Liberia, apparently on the rumor that LURD troops are advancing. Apparently, bandit activity is being misinterpreted as another LURD advance. But no one is sure, as neither journalists or government officials are willing to risk looking too close to find out exactly what is going on.
