The government says that it has LURD on the run and is fighting the last remnants of the rebels around Jenneh Town (170 kilometers north of the capital). Small forces are involved; about a thousand army troops and a few hundred rebels. The government said that they captured Kolahun on September 30 after losing four soldiers and killing 18 rebels (including two leaders.) The government had attacked Kolahun nine times over the last three years and failed to take it from LURD each time.
