India and Pakistan have agreed to set up a nuclear weapons hotline, and keep each other informed of upcoming missile tests. Since both nations acquired nuclear weapons in the late 1990s, there has been growing fear in both countries that some kind of stupid mistake would allow a nuclear war to take place between them.
