India-Pakistan: March 16, 2003

Archives

In India's northeast, a rebel bomb went off under a bus and killed a policeman, four civilians and wounded 54 people. The police said members of the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) were responsible.

In Kashmir, a rebel attack on an army base  left nine policemen and two civilians dead. Five policemen were kidnapped.

The Pakistani government has accused India of training terrorists for attacks inside Pakistan. This is probably true, and Pakistan apparently does the same for terrorists operating inside India. Neither country is eager to halt their terrorism operations.
