Army operations killed eleven FARC rebels, including one who, last February, led the operation that captured three American civilians working for the US Defense Department. The army is concentrating on aggressive patrolling in areas where key rebel leaders are known to operate. This forces these rebel leaders to either move or come out and fight. Either way, rebel operations are disrupted.
