 FARC has appealed to other South American governments to put pressure on Colombia to restart peace talks with the rebels. But FARC has violated most of its previous agreements and the government, and most of the population, are no longer interested in talking, but rather just eliminating FARC. The government offensive against FARC and other rebel groups is having an effect, with FARC losing control of territory and having problems recruiting.
