FARC is suspected as responsible for the bombing of the el Nogal club, but FARC has not taken responsibility (although some FARC members believe their organization was responsible.) The bombing was the first rebel attack in the capital in over a decade, and this scares a lot of people who felt there was someplace in the country where they could find some safety.
