Russia now controls two air bases in Central Asia; Kant airfield in Kyrgyzstan, and Aini Airfield in Tajikistan. The only other foreign airbase is in Armenia. Most of the aircraft are helicopters (Mi-8 transports and Mi-24 gunships.)
