A report from Zambia said that 90 Angolan soldiers (FAA) escaped into Zambia from Angola. The soldiers had apparently been involved in a battle with UNITA forces and fled with some 1200 refugees into Zambia. A Zambian spokesman said the Angolan soldiers intended to return to Angola. There was no information on the battle with the UNITA rebels. This report followed a statement on October 20th where the Angolan army said it would now practice a policy of "hot pursuit" and chase UNITA rebels into Zambia.
