Former UNITA guerillas continue to pour into Zambia. Zambian government sources claim that UNITA troops attacked several villages near the bordering, stealing cattle and looking for food. The Zambian government said UNITA troops took 150 head of cattle. One government spokesman accused UNITA of tying a tribal chief to a tree with barbed wire and attacking him with rifle butts. The Zambian information seems to reinforce Angolan government (MPLA) claims that UNITA is very badly damaged and is on the verge of defeat.
