The Angolan government offensive continues. A government spokesman announced the capture of the cities of Andulo and Bailundo, in central Angola. Andulo was a major UNIT stronghold and a headquarters for UNITA's leader, Jonas Savimbi. The spokesman also claimed the Angolan government also controls Mussende and Tembwe (Cuanza-Sul province); Londuimable (Huambo province); Cangamba, Luwawu, Luakanu, Lumbalanguimbi in the Moxico province; Kalandula and Kalussengue (Malanje province). If this is true then the MPLA has made great progress in its war against UNITA.
