The major Angolan government military offensive in central Angola continued. A government spokesman confirmed the capture of Andulo and Baillundo. Other reports said between 85,000 and 100,000 refugees had fled the fighting in the town of Huambo. Huambo is 60 kilometers south of Bailundo and is also a major UNITA stronghold.
