Support: America Builds Large Underground Facility For Israel

Archives

December 6, 2012: A favorite source of intel are government documents related to construction projects. Take, for example, a recent project at an Israeli Air Force base outside Tel Aviv. Only U.S. firms are allowed to bid on this one and the two year construction effort will be supervised by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Local workers can be employed but not Palestinians or anyone of doubtful loyalty. It’s all about building a five level underground structure. Called “Site 911” the underground space will have classrooms, an auditorium, shock-resistant doors, numerous security features, and the entire structure will be protected from nonionizing radiation (wireless electronic signals entering or leaving). This $100 million facility is being built for the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces).

The U.S. has been building military facilities for the IDF for many years, using money given to Israel as military aid each year. Some of the facilities are obvious, like bases for army brigades or underground shelters for warplanes. What exactly Site 911 is for was not revealed.
