November 22, 2000; The French Air Force has awarded SAGEM a $330 million contract to provide 750 guided bomb kits. These will include inertial and GPS guidance and a booster rocket able to take a 250kg bomb to a range of 50km. The kit will fit heavier bombs but won't have the same range. The deal includes options for another 2,250 kits.
