SEP 2, 2021 - A U.S. Marine with Combined Anti-Armor Team Red platoon, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, is observed firing a Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided missile system while conducting a live fire scenario during Exercise Koolendong, Bradshaw Field Training Area, NT, Australia, Aug. 29, 2021. A TOW missile system is an American made anti-tank missile that can be fired mounted or unmounted. Exercises like Koolendong validate MRF-D’s and the Australian Defence Force’s ability to conduct expeditionary command and control operations, demonstrating the shared commitment to being ready to respond to a crisis or contingency in the Indo-Pacific region.
