U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Mark Carter views the sunset from a WC-130 cockpit after nine hours of flying into a hurricane over the Gulf of Mexico. Carter is assigned to the Hurricane Hunters of the Air Force Reserve Command's 403rd Wing based on Keesler Air Force Base, Miss.
