NEW YORK (Nov. 12, 2008) Sailors and Marines aboard the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) man the rails as the ship departs New York after a scheduled port visit. Bataan was in New York for a week of community relations projects, daily tours, participation in the city's annual Veterans Day Parade and support for the reopening of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
