A study commissioned by Defense Secretary Cohen found that: Military officers: 64% Republican, 28% Independent, 8% Democrat. DoD civilians: 30% Republican, 27% Independent, 43% Democrat. Curiously, about 20% of both groups said they had "a great deal of confidence" in the leadership of President Clinton.--Stephen V Cole
