ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 22, 2022) An F/A-18E Super Hornet attached to the "Golden Warriors" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 87 lands aboard the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) in the Atlantic Ocean, March 22, 2022. Gerald R. Ford is underway conducting flight deck certification and air wing carrier qualifications as part of the ship's tailored basic phase prior operational deployment.
