PACIFIC OCEAN (July 15, 2017) A landing craft, air cushion assigned to Assault Craft Unit 5 exits the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego's (LPD 22) well deck off the coast of Hawaii during a sustainment exercise. San Diego is on a scheduled deployment with the America Amphibious Ready Group, which is comprised of more than 1,800 Sailors and 2,600 Marines assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), and San Diego.
