Lars Ickler, assigned to the Rear Area Task Force, 21st Armoured Brigade, Bundeswehr, readies his Wiesel Armoured Weapon Carrier for an escort mission during Allied Spirit X, April 10, 2019. Allied Spirit X includes approximately 5,600 participants from 15 nations, March 30 – April 17, 2019, at the 7th Army Training Command’s Hohenfels Training Area in southeastern Germany. Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army Europe-directed, 7th Army Training Command-conducted multinational exercise series designed to develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.
