Subject: Stryker time?

Wouldn't Lyberia be a nice place to use stryker units in? It has no tanks or aircraft to oppose the US forces.

No Stryker units are ready yet. Any Liberian intervention will be from a Marine MEU(SOC). In addition to the Marines, probably more important, are the naval and aviation assets.

with air and marine assets, i dont think a 2.5 hour mortar barrage would be possible.

There is a Stryker brigade that has completed NTC and JITC(?) training. It was scheduled to go to Iraq during the summer, but that date has been pushed back to fall. There is a second, that has been equipped, but hasn't finished (or even started?) training yet.
