Subject: S.U.S.T.A.I.N....Marines In Spaaace!
SCCOMarine    3/14/2008 4:56:47 PM
The Marine Corps has quietly, over the past 6 or 7yrs, been shaping the Forced Entry and Crisis Response capability of the next millenium w/ NASA and Aero-Space Industries. It's called SUSTAIN-Small Unit Space Transport and Insertion. By seizing on the emerging SCRAM-Jet technologies they are in early development w/ the Industry towards a series SCRAM-Jets capable of Deploying 13-20 man Squads of Marines. SCRAM-Jets are Hyper-Sonic Air/Space Craft that break the earth's atmosphere then skim across it at speeds of Mach 4 thru Mach 10. They will be able to deploy a company-sized Expeditionary Unit of DO Capable Marines anywhere in the world in 2HRs or less. The list of missions range fr/ Crisis Response and In-Extremis Hostage Rescue to QRF for SOF, capable of re-inforcing Special Operations Missions world wide at a moments notice.

Listen, why is this always taken to a USMC bias when I respond?

Because you have an overly enthusiastic writing style, using too much bold and italic font, and appear to constantly spout the company line.

I doubt anyone here has anything against the American marines - however anybody who tries to constantly big themselves up makes other people want to knock them down a peg.

Who's trying to big themselves up?

I gave the info kept it professional, but like what often happens on this site somebody chimes in w/ a petty response thats not relevant to the info.

He was trying to stress the rangers would take the mission blah...blah... w/ nothing to substantiate his claims & that shit gets annoying after awhile.

If you can't substantiate what you say don't say it.

Then he tried to downplay those missions as if he'd done better.  Nobody was bragging just past mission examples.

Did I make a personal attack on him, yeah b/c he's annoying.

So now your a Regional Combatant Commander(CoCom) right?   Your in position to 2nd guess their calls f/ your computer in the basement

Unlike you who is no doubt high up in the Pentagon, an aide-de-camp to the Commandant, or are you working JPL on the hyper-sonic wind tunnel models of the shuttle?  So I'm reading that in your example things had been going south in Liberia for a week, just not south for the US embassy and then the Sh*te hits the fan?  And this contradicts my statement how?  Things had been going south in Liberia for a while, an answer is to move the ARG closer or to fly in extra embassy guards, not wait until bad things happen and to NOT invest in an  expensive boondoggle of an aerospace project in search of a mission and partners.

I'm sorry none of us here are Gates or Rumsfeld, just cogs and observers, so try to leave the attitude at home or in YOUR basement, Marine fan-boy.

Didn't I already say that, the ARG/MEU was on its way as soon as the conflict broke out to conduct a NEO.  The key to a NEO is not to overreact but to move responibly.

However, like all conflict the situation was fluid & the rebels began shelling the Embassy trying to force the American citz out.

Thats when the Regional Combatant Commander initiated a FAST Team to conduct the CRISIS RESPONSE Mission to clear the Immediate Area around the Embassy of all hostile threats b/c the Embassy wouldn't be able hold out for long.

Marine fan-boy, OK

Aren't you a little fag sailor, probably serving on the SS Bubba Gump?  You, Forrest, Lt. Dan.

Now I see, that's why you keep pushing ARG so hard.

Hey saaailor,  You better stay outta Grown Men's conversations and stick to what u know best...swabbing the f*ckin
deck & pressing the Captain pants b4 somebody lifts u'r skirt.

If you were not talking to me - why did you quote my post in your answer?
And I think your cumming in horses highly dubious.

You had the smart comment, no one was talking to you.

I had a personnal comment to one particular person.  Me & this person have had many regular conversations, but every once in awhile he says something petty w/ no proof to back it up.  And I'm not the only one he does this to.

If you go back thru the thread, close to the top, I asked to keep the convo on the facts or back up what said, he didn't, he just made more petty unsubstantiated remarks.  So I struck back Questioning him and his unit, for his validity to talk down what those Marines had done.

I functioned fine in the world of weapons & warfare.  Disaggreement was fine, But I handle Disrespect quickly & severely.

When, some time B4?  If so, then I don't know what your talking about?  Say exactly when I quoted you so we're on the same page.

It's all good brother. This thing sort of got out of hand, and we didn't handle this disagreement very well. Let's just calm this shit down and be more professional than having our threads turn into this kind of thing. All I'll say about Horse is that you are not correct with your "fake commando" comment or whatever. I've had a chat with him on another website and he's GTG. Please don't badmouth other units either, thats unprofessional and childish.

Back on topic now, my point is that this kind of thing seems pretty outlandish and unrealistic. I doubt this will come to fruition for a very, very long time.

That was exactly my point, it was for fun, which is why I chose that title.
But as far as horse goes, I don't have a problem w/ him, but every once in awhile he starts talking slick.

As far as calling him a 'couch commando' and calling out his unit goes, it had a reason, it wasnt bias.
You've closely followed & studied the SEALs right?

If you were explaining an actual mission they already performed, not a possible future mission.  And I started degrading those SEALs & the mission,  the 1st Q would be: Who the f*ck are you, what unit have you served w/, & what have you or u'r unit done to downplay what those SEALs have done.

So thats what I did.

I've served w/ the SEALs, SF, & FR in Iraq, but I would hardly put myself on their level.  He however does it all the time to alot of ppl but no one calls him on it, I will.
