Gee, what a thoroughly corny, albeit enjoyable movie.

Nice to see an Aussie AirForce "General" as a villian. Lol!

Still, it had great flight scenes and no Tom Cruise. What's not to like.

Anyone else catch this flick?

Movie was quite enjoyable and different from the usual hollywood take on things.
Who was the actor playing the Aussie General?

Hey where is French Strategy these days, a comment from him would be good!!
In the past I enjoyed his perspective on all his discussions, even when others got annoyed.

He was a uniformed RAAF officer who was suposed to be the Dassault dealership rep for the Asia Pacific region, so that was the first odd thing about the role.

He was a crook because he ended up being the leader of an international arms group who stoll or was in the process of stealing Mirage 2000's.

They could have used any nationality for the part, but for some reason chose to have an Aussie.

Weird, but ok film.

Well we couldn't have a les despicable 1%er Marwan Lahoud type Lebanese-French play the role. That would be too close to the TRUTH.

That's old Marwan all right, though his schtick is American radar, rocket, and jet engine tech theft. instead of Mirages

CREF above.

Only the flying. interested me... the French have some very GOOD pilots.

Maybe the French are angling to sell us modernised Mirage 2000's to supplement the SH's once the White Paper cans the F-35 purchase.

I was thinking more along the lines of them giving us a little bit of petty payback for not giving the Rafale a run against the F-35.
