First of all, Turkey could never occupy Greece, Greece today has a strong defensive army... Besides, I think that in a big scale war between the two countries the US would bomb Turkey into pieces...

Aren't Greece and Turkey in the same alliance? I can't think that America would ever want war with any of our allies, and we certainly have our differences with some....maybe not to the point of Greece/Turkey.....but I could think of other countries both could concentrate their anger on rather than a so-called ally...

Sure, go ahead and invade Turkey. I'll get some popcorn and turn on the T.V. It'll be nice to watch somebody elses war on CNN for a change. Cato

The same thing lived in 1920's. Greeks attack with the English and other countries support. But what happened in the end; Greeks returned to their homeland without nothing. We are a nation that cannot live without freedom. And if a foreign country attack us believe me that that country will see the worst days in it's history.

Turkey has a city that it is a real capital (Ankara in paper) and both of its names are Greek..First one Constantinople and the second one.. Istanbul.. As for the second one the Greeks referring to the capital when speaking to each other are calling the city "POLI" (in greek means city)..and when they were heading to the city they were saying "pao is tin poli" this means going to the city. Is tin poli // Is tan bul OR stin poli (to the city) Sta bul plus the "I" like Zmir which for a better pronunciation in Turkish is turned to I-ZMIR also Galibolu before the turkish dominion was called CALLIPOLIS (in greek means "beautiful fine city"

If you continue to curse I won't be able to talk to you so slow down.
Actually Turkey Turks are not totally Turks. We have Turkish,Persian,Kurdish,Greek,Hatti,Assyrian,Armenian,Laz.......etc bloods in our veins.I mean we're an Anatolian nation mostly influenced by Turks.

Turks are not Mongols.Mongolians and Turks are relatives but different ancient nomad people.

ANd yeah the citieshave Greek names because they belonged to Greeks once. And we have Greek blood in our veins too
