Subject: Gaza-Bound Arms Seized

I guess now we know why that Iranian frigate and supply ship sailed to Latakia, Syria a week ago: Israeli forces just boarded a frieghter that they say was bound for Gaza. They found onboard hundreds of containers. Searching some of them yielded tons of weapons and ammunition, including some Chinese-made C704 anti-ship cruise missiles like the one that was fired at the Hanit off of Lebanon a couple years ago. The Israelis are taking the freighter to port in Israel to search the rest of the cargo.

Pictures show that the cargo included a half-dozen "Nasr 1" SSMs, which are Iranian copies of Chinese C704s, along with a surface search radar and the C2 terminals for use of the missiles.  This was a complete package just like what was used off shore of Lebanon that day in 2007 to damage the Hanit and sink a merchant ship.
