Subject: Man: The Eternal Warrior
The Myrmidon    9/3/2002 10:49:18 AM
War. Just a word? No. It stirs the blood, heats the blood, makes the blood burn. Man. War or Peace? Choices must be made. My choice is war. Nothing can compare to the thrill of battle. The pure rush of knowing that every second on the battlefield could be your last, yet also knowing that your enemies can never defeat you. They may kill you, but the spirit of the Warrior can never be destroyed. You will rise to fight again at another time, in another place, against another foe. You fight, you die, you rest, and you rise again. All for the thrill of the kill, the feel of the steel, the smell of cordite and blood. It's like coming home to you. You have your own code. You will never compromise your Honor. Your enemies are evil. You fight to stop them, but you must also respect them if they are Honorable. Can Evil have Honor? You do not think of such things. The Eternal War must be fought. The Eternal Warrior will be there to fight, to kill, to die. This is just one more battle in The Eternal War.

What are you doing here then? Go fight..... Lead with your actions not words. I can go on and mumbel all I want about war and fighting and all that, but if I don't do it, I might as well be taking out of my ass.

Forget the call, buy a one-way ticket to iraq and wait for your troops there. They should join you in a few months or so, and while you are there, do me a favor and kill saddam, will ya?

I'm in the Private Sector, now. I'll be going in before the US military, anyway. And if I get a shot at Saddam, It'll be for the reward. I don't do favors.

Myrmidon: A professional soldier for hire; A mercenary under the command of Achilles before, and during the Trojan War. I don't kill for free, but in Saddam's case, I would be tempted. The reward is just a side-effect of taking the bastard out.

You crack me up Myrmidon....:) You remind me of a cartoon. That Pee Wee Herman character.... Muslims a funny guy too. He says you're talking out of your ass....:) There's big difference between a real warrior and a wanna be one like yourself....it's called BALLS. A true warrior is usually silent.....but violent. You sound like your loud, riding the clouds.....all talk. .......................................... .......................................... Now hurry up and post me a reply......make it funny.....:)

I'll post a reply, I don't know if it will amuse you or not. While Myrmidon's imagery is a little over the type, his perception of the role of man, all life in fact is to me, perfectly correct. Life is struggle, an eternal struggle, an eternal war if you will. Each new situation that you meet in life is just another battle to be won in the eternal conflict. The eternal warrior, is unceasing in meeting these challenges, indomitable in his will to succeed and unflinching in his courage and devotion to the struggle. The true warrior recognizes that violence is a tool of last resort, his arsenal is far greater than that, but if push comes to shove he can and will break his opponent like a matchstick. The eternal warrior does what he does in order to make the world better for everyone, by following his lead the world can only become a better place, his honour and his conscience are the guides he follows on his route march, they will unfailingly lead him to a well deserved victory and the celebrating that ensues.
