maybe they are only stationed in the base and helping organize the 5000 Peacekeepers in Afghanistan (or doing other jobs that dont require weapons) . Many troops and the headquarter are stationed in the German base (i dont know if you even call it German, its very international) "Camp Warehouse". Maybe this is why they wrote that the Canadians are protected by German soldiers. Besides, does anyone know if the Nato will take the lead in Afghanistan from the Netherlands and Germany ?

Such silly questions....Canada took over the role of the ISAF from the germans....2000 canadian troops are there and are on teh second rotation of 6 months...the nest tour to start in august will probably consist of specialized provincial reconstruction teams.....proably a total of 500 canadian troops...this tour will also include a group of Romanian soliders (they took over from canada after OP APOLLO).....these troops will provide security in Kabul as the canadian teams move into the country side....(So far the total of dead Canadians in Afghanistan are 6).......Anyone who doesnt see the candians in action arent talking to the right americans..talk to the 101st...the 82nd...75 Rangers Regiment...Delta....Thats why you dont hear about us...............................................
