NK is going to set off a second bomb once the next round of 6 party talks fail and NK does not get a one on one with the US.  China only bought some time by supporting a watered down UN resolution, and we all know about those UN resolutions.

US silent on Sino-India nuke cooperation
Wednesday, 22 November , 2006, 22:21

Washington: The US has refrained from commenting on the decision by India and China to step up civilian nuclear cooperation during Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to New Delhi.

"I haven't heard a thing about it. I can't even talk about it," Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Nicholas Burns said, when asked about the decision, on the sidelines of a Sri Lanka Donor's Conference meeting here on Tuesday.

At the State Department, the Spokesman was literally confined to just three topics in the course of his daily briefing - Lebanon, Israel and North Korea.

China wants to get a look at the technology that the US will be providing to India, so they make a good effort to promote "mutual cooperation".
