well given the recent growth of china as a major economy and military power ..will ever a time come when china would back stab ( as they are used to ) russia ( well china has reverse engineered all theeir weapons from russian arms and they still seek to procure new modern arms from russia ) to claim back the part of russsian terrritory which they claim to be theirs...are russians wary about it ? what will be the worst case scenario then ?? this is indeed something to discuss..are there nay russians in these forums ??

this could happen but china has to be very desperet.Firt of all this wopuld seem like an evil invasion to the rest of the world and they would help out russia, not that it could hold up on its own against china. but now is not the time for china to do this kind of thing.curently china is part of the multilateral system which is working with Russia,US,Japan and S.Korea to stop the north koran Nukelear plans. sorry for my english its probebly not good.

RE: China backstab

I don't think China would hesitate to "backstab" if it was in their interest. I don't think the term really applies between Russia and China. They both realize the other country is amoral. However, I see Russia & Chinese interests being in alignment for the forseeable future. Russia needs cash, China needs the military technology Russia will sell. The start of a beautiful friendship. China is looking in a seaward direction to expand militarily, less than landward. Much of the old tensions sprang from a fight over who was leading the Communist World. Now Russia is not Communist, so that fight is over.
