Subject: Dual 105mm howitzers on a CH-47?

A fun conversation if nothing else - from 1972: dual low recoil 105mm howitzers, externally mounted on each side, forward pointing. I would have thought 30mm's sufficient... If you feel it necessary, you can download a pdf containing the full study and design analysis from this site.
