Subject: US Airforce tables of organization - Including support units
elarioc@saic.com    3/14/2001 12:57:24 PM
Everywhere one can find US Army tables of Organization such as what units comprise an armored battalion (including support units). However, I cannot find similar tables of organization for US Air Force units (such as how many fighter squadrons are in an Air group, how many Maintenance, Logistics and Air Controller units etc...)

For those of us who don't know where to find Army tables, can you give us some websites? Thanks.

I cannot give you exact numbers but drill units (and flight units) are made in the following manner: Element - 1-12 planes. Flight - 2 or more elements. Squadron - 2 or more Flights. Group - 2 or more Squadrons. The average squadron has about 27 planes.
