Thanks,

Great articles, particularly the one about Japan's new class of 18,000 ton "destroyers".   Hyuga is an appropriate name for this class, as I believe the Hyuga was the name of an IJN battleship that ended up being converted to a hybrid aircraft carrier

Nice to see them Italians still pushing their 76/62 as an "anti air" C-RAM type system on land vehicles (but only 32 rounds?).
Seems like a good candidate for an urban warfare turret: high elevation, high velocity (flat trajectory) to reach upper story targets, and 76mm wouldn't be overkill and cause excessive collateral damage.

Nice to see SP isn't the only news source that isn't infallable: page 23 showed an article about Talley/Nammo's M72, suggesting a 72mm munition...good luck fitting that into the M72's 66mm tube!
(maybe an honest mistake: an 84mm SMAW rocket could easily hold a 72mm forward section...looking not unlike the displayed rounds with the smaller-diameter front end than the aft rocket motor.)
I'll let it slide though...

I'll have to sit down and read it when I have more time, but it looks like a lot of good, up to date info.  Can anybody identify the rifle that the Swedish grunts are carrying?  It looks a lot like a H&K G-36, but there are a couple of cosmetic differences.  On closer glance it seems to resemble theH&K XM-8, which was reportedly tested by the US Army in Iraq.  I may have to dig around a little bit, but I'm not ashamed to ask for a little help.

Im 99% sure they are carrying AK-5's made by FN.  The "furniture" in the pictures however does have a G36 look to it and doesnt quite match the pic below of an AK-5.

Interesting articles. Amazing to think how much the USAF spends in dollar values for fuels.

Hope more folk opt for synthetic blends for their military fuel needs in the coming years.

Funny how you build a flat top and people want to fly F-35B off them.

We get the same commentary with our forthcoming Amphibs too.

I know a little about the AK-5, which is a Swedish-made version of the FNC.  You could be right, but why would they just change the furniture?  I guess it's no big deal, but I'm kind of a gun nerd, so when I saw an a rifle I'd never seen before in a photo touting a new AFV (!) it kind of jumped out at me.
