Subject: Lots of laser guided munitions - is the infantry getting more laser designators?

I'm curious if the infantry is getting more and smaller laser designators? Coming on line now or in the near future are a host of small laser guided munitions: air-dropped Viper Strikes, the APKWS rockets, the 120mm (M1) mid-range munition, the precision guided mortar round, and more. With these smaller munitions that will be much more available, I'd think there'd be a corresponding # of designators available on the ground. Is this happening?
