Subject: inaccurate story re: MV-22 v Helo performance
Brad    8/22/2002 7:45:29 PM
The comparison of the MV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor cargo capacity versus helicopters already in service is inaccurate. The story claims the Osprey can carry only 42% as much cargo as CH-47 Chinook. Whereas a quick fact check shows both aircraft have a maximum loaded weight of about 27,000 lbs more than their respective empty weights.
